WEST’s Rhett Good, Rebecca Clark, Paul Rabie, Karl DuBridge, and Kevin Murray are co-authors on the published American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI) Technical Report “Are Bat Activity and Mortality Best Predicted by Weather Measured On-Site or at Off-Site Regional Airports?”. The study investigates whether bat activity and mortality at wind energy facilities correlates with regional weather data, and if this data could optimize wind turbine curtailment strategies that reduce bat collision fatalities.
