Join us in congratulating Todd Mabee on his promotion to Quality Program Manager!
Todd joined WEST in 2018 as a Senior Ecologist in Oregon, where he manages pre- and post-construction monitoring studies at wind and solar facilities in the Pacific Northwest. During his time at WEST, he led the international program for several years, is currently part of the offshore wind strategic initiative, and continues to be a client liaison. Todd has more than 30 years of experience as an ornithologist and terrestrial ecologist. He has been involved with wind energy and wildlife issues for more than 20 years, working extensively on avian, bat, and wildlife issues at wind and solar energy facilities in the US and Central America.
As Quality Program Manager, Todd is responsible for leading, managing, and evaluating staff in the Tracking and Data, Document Assistance, and GIS teams, along with other staff involved with the Quality Program. He will manage both internal QA/QC operations and external client expectations related to the quality of WEST’s deliverables. He will also support and look for ways to improve the Quality Program by providing leadership and direction to enhance accepted standards of quality practices at WEST, while promoting continuous improvement and ethical considerations.
“I believe that quality matters because it reflects both our individual and corporate scientific credibility. I am pleased to continue the quality initiatives started by my predecessors and thrilled to be working with well-established and talented teams who understand the value of quality services. Together, we will work to promote high-quality deliverables that will meet or exceed client expectations and be defensible by WEST.
Congratulations, Todd!
