This week, we partnered with the Texas Master Naturalist Program‘s Coastal Prairie Chapter for a hands-on day of conservation work. WEST volunteered to support habitat restoration efforts at Seabourne Creek Nature Park.

Our team of 20 worked on projects that enhanced local ecosystems and improved resources for ongoing conservation, including:
• Preparing wetland roosting racks for seasonal bird populations
• Improving pathways within the bird sanctuary for volunteer access and visitors
• Upgrading water systems in the bird blind

These projects help protect local wildlife and enhance the experience for volunteers and visitors alike, reflecting WEST’s dedication to environmental stewardship and community engagement. We are grateful to the Coastal Prairie Chapter for their partnership in making a lasting impact!
