WEST is excited to announce Hall Sawyer’s promotion to Principal Biologist. Hall joined WEST in 2002 and has since led several long-term studies focused on migration ecology and energy impacts to big game. Hall works with agencies and industry to conduct and communicate research in ways that improve management, mitigation, and planning efforts related to big game. Hall also serves as Technical Advisor to the USGS Corridor Mapping Team, where he works closely with big game biologists from 13 western states to analyze, map, and provide digital access to important movement and distribution data.

“Wildlife conservation is messier and more challenging than ever, so I’m motivated to help WEST provide simple, transparent, and meaningful information to improve land-use planning and decision making.”

Congratulations, Hall!
