🦇 It’s #BatWeek — and we’re proud to celebrate the science and solutions driving bat conservation forward.

At WEST, our team of federally permitted bat biologists and qualitative acoustic bat experts are at the forefront of helping clients achieve conservation goals through innovative, data-driven bat monitoring and mitigation strategies.

Our experts bring extensive experience in qualitative acoustic identification by analyzing and interpreting bat calls from across North America, using advanced detector technology, software, and analytical techniques. This expertise supports presence/absence surveys for species like the northern long-eared bat and Indiana bat, contributes to the North American Bat Monitoring Program, helps refine automated classification tools for eastern bat calls, and supports innovative strategies for our clients.

With over 1,200 acoustic detectors, annual peer-reviewed bat research, active participation in conferences, professional trainings, and workshops, WEST is committed to advancing bat conservation science while helping our clients find effective, compliant, and conservation-minded solutions.

This #BatWeek, we celebrate the dedication of our bat team and their role in safeguarding bat populations and guiding industry toward smarter conservation practices. Stay tuned throughout the week to learn more about WEST’s bat solutions.
