Catch Kirsten Pearson presenting WEST’s research on using drones for raptor nest surveys. Working across multiple sites in southern Alberta, the WEST team found that drones can detect nests, identify species, and count eggs and nestlings—all without disturbing the birds or putting biologists in harm’s way.
