Industry News: Communications Framework for Solar Energy Project Proponents and State and Wildlife Agencies

American Clean Power (ACP), the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA), and the Energy and Wildlife Action Coalition (EWAC) have published Communications Framework for Solar Energy Project Proponents and State Fish and Wildlife Agencies. Developed by a group of state agencies and industry representatives, the framework provides flexible communication objectives and milestones to address state or project-specific concerns. It guides communication between project proponents and state fish and wildlife agencies, establishing expectations for engagement frequency and communication triggers throughout a solar project’s lifecycle, from initial relationship building to decommissioning. The WEST team is excited to work with its clients to implement this framework. For questions, please reach out to our planning team here.
