WEST Celebrates Muddy Dog Day!

Rain or shine, our four-legged field crew shows up ready to work, and that often means a few muddy paw prints along the way. Today, we’re recognizing Muddy Dog Day by celebrating the hardworking dogs who bring energy and dedication to every project.

Our detection dog teams put their remarkable noses to work locating what’s tough to find — from bat and bird carcasses at wind and solar facilities to turtles and other target species across the country. It’s a minimally invasive, highly efficient approach that helps our clients get more accurate data from the field.

As the 2026 field season wraps up, thank you to our canine team members and their human teammates for the wonderful work they’ve done all season. Here’s to muddy paws, muddy boots, and a job well done!
