Join us in congratulating Amanda Hale on her promotion to Principal Biologist. Amanda joined WEST in 2022 as a Senior Research Biologist and Science Lead for the Bat Practice Group. Prior to joining WEST, Amanda was a Professor of Biology at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth (Go Frogs!), where she taught undergraduate and graduate courses and conducted research, focusing primarily on the impacts of wind energy on birds and bats. Amanda received her bachelor’s degree in Biology, a bachelor’s in Spanish, and a master’s in Biology from Purdue University, followed by her PhD in Biology from the University of Miami. Amanda enjoys the team-based work environment at WEST and is thankful for her great colleagues who are willing to share their expertise to produce high-quality deliverables including scientific publications.
“I am excited for the opportunity to continue to grow in my career at WEST and look forward to working with my colleagues to advance WEST’s Mission Statement and Core Principles. These are challenging times for bat conservation and renewable energy development – I strongly believe WEST can be at the forefront, providing science-based solutions necessary to protect biodiversity and achieve decarbonization goals in the coming decades.”
Congratulations, Amanda!
